As at end December 2007, the pro-forma value of the investments under management by RBH was approximately R33.5 billion. The portfolio of investments is as follows:
RBH has a significant portfolio in the resource sector with interests in platinum (Implats and Bafokeng Rasimone Mine) and ferrochrome (Merafe) as well as South African Coal Mining Holdings Limited.
2% in Vodacom SA, a cellular communications company with a leading share of the South African market.
25.1% of Zurich Insurance Company South Africa, the third-largest short-term insurer in the country.
The investments are in: Astrapak, Metair Investments and Bafokeng Concor Technicrete, a joint venture with Concore Technicrete.
The investments are in: Fraser Alexander, MB Technologies, Senwes, DHL Express, MOGS, Eris Property Group, Pasco Risk Holdings, M-Tech Industrial, Praxima Payroll Systems and Metuba.
The investments are in Premier League club Platinum Stars FC and Platinum Leopards Currie Cup rugby franchise.
