The company wishes to advise that JSE Limited (“the JSE”) has agreed that trade may commence in the shares of the company on the Main Board with effect from Tuesday 31 July 2007.
In terms of various transactions, including the restructuring of the company’s balance sheet, the empowerment transaction in terms of which control of the company passes to Royal Bafokeng Capital (Pty) Limited and the acquisition of two operating coal mines (collectively, “the transactions”), the company will be issuing additional shares. The only remaining formality to be completed, prior to the JSE agreeing to list these shares, is the lodgement of the mining right which has been granted to and notarially executed in the name of Umlabu Colliery (Pty) Limited. The company expects this to happen on or before 1 August 2007. On that date, an abridged pre-listing statement will be published and the shares to be issued in respect of the transactions will be listed the following day.
