Why this project?

The Royal Bafokeng Nation (RBN), in collaboration with Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH), is committed to ensuring that the historical and mineral-rich land to which it has claim in South Africa’s North West Province is cared for and preserved for future generations. In light of this, a strategic environmental assessment (SEA) of the RBN’s land was completed in 2009, the results of which are available on this site. Read more...

About this project

The aim of this SEA report is to facilitate strategic and informed decision-making with regards to environmental issues. The SEA also provides a strategic action plan for the successful management of environmental resources on the land belonging to the RBN. Read more...

This report was undertaken by external environmental consultants, Marsh (Pty) Ltd. While the project was managed by RBH, the Royal Bafokeng Administration (RBA) will be responsible for its future implementation, management and monitoring. Read more...
