Lungelwa joined RBH in March 2017 as Head of Infrastructure Investments which cover energy assets and PPPs. She has more than 15 years’ work experience in various roles within the investment industry. Prior to joining RBH, Lungelwa spent 11.5 years with IDEAS Fund, an Infrastructure Fund managed by Old Mutual Alternative Investments (“OMAI”) as an Investment Principal at OMAI. In addition to the infrastructure assets, Lungelwa also managed IDEAS Fund’s real estate portfolio. She represented Old Mutual Life Assurance Company South Africa (“OMLACSA”) on various boards which covered different funding structures and asset classes including renewable energy, real estate and public private partnerships (“PPPs”). Before joining OMAI, Lungelwa worked in Corporate and Project Finance Advisory at Tri-Linear Specialised Finance for 3-years, after she gained experience in Client Relationship Management in the listed asset management industry.

Chimwala joined RBH in May 2017 from the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) where he was part of a team responsible for analysing and structuring debt investments for infrastructure deals in the African continent. Prior to his time at the DBSA, Chimwala worked at Norfund as part of the team responsible for direct equity investments in Southern Africa.

Lethabo joined RBH as an intern in 2014 and currently fills the position as an Investment Manager. By gaining experience in a suite of RBH’s investments, Lethabo earned his stripes as investment analyst in 2015. His experience in a wide range of sectors in RBH’s investment portfolio has steered him towards his studies towards becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst and has recently passed his Level II CFA program.

Lehlogonolo joined RBH in 2018 on the CA(SA) Training Programme and currently fills the role of Investment Analyst. During his 3 years on the CA(SA) programme, Lehlogonolo gained valuable experience in performing research and analysis across the various sectors as well as company valuations and financial modelling.

Alicea joined RBH as an intern in 2015 and currently fills the role of Investment Administrator. In her role, she provides an extensive array of support to the investment team such as assisting the team with company valuation, financial modelling and in analysing investment opportunities, including sector & industry analysis.

Katlego is a Senior Investment Manager in the Royal Bafokeng Holdings’ Strategic Investment team with 9 years investment experience. He joined RBH in 2011 as an intern in the same department and was appointed as a junior manager at the beginning of 2012. He assisted in the development and execution of the energy strategy for RBH and has worked on multiple sectors including telecommunications, resources, media, asset management and property. In his role, Katlego provides investment oversight, analysis and general support to the CIO through assessment of the portfolio, assets and other investment programs. His role is to further implement the approved business and investment strategy.
Katlego represents RBH as a director on the boards of Yebo Yethu (RF) Ltd, JCDecaux SSA Holdings, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Royal Investment Managers, Visio Fund Management, T-Jet Helicopters, Adams Solar Project (Enel) and Electra Capital (Enel).

Udo joined the RBH Investments team in July 2016 and currently heads the investment department as Chief Investment Officer. Prior to joining RBH, he worked in Rand Merchant Bank’s Investment Banking division as a senior resource finance transactor. Udo has extensive experience in corporate financing solutions and BEE structuring.

Mcebo has more than 5 years’ experience in financial services having joined RBH from Barclays, where he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in Corporate Finance and M&A based in the Johannesburg office. He gained experience in both Johannesburg and London with a focus on research and analysis across various sectors as well as company valuations and financial modelling. Prior to joining Barclays, he worked as an Operations Consultant at Allan Gray, one of the leading and largest private asset management firms, where his focus areas were client services and investment administration.

Chris joined RBH on the 1st February 2021 as an Investment Analyst. He joins the investment team from PWC where he has been since January 2018. He holds an Honours degree in Investment Management and has valuable experience in financial modelling, company valuation and research.

Lala recently joined RBH as a Senior Strategic Investment Manager. Prior to joining RBH, Lala worked as an Executive Manager: Investments at KTH and was responsible for managing the company’s portfolio investments in South Africa and West Africa.
Lala holds valuable experience and during his time as an investment banker at Citigroup, he was involved in closing several new investments and disposals, as well as ongoing portfolio maintenance. He also served on various investee companies’ boards.

Dharmesh Kalyan is the Head of Infrastructure and is responsible for overseeing the company’s infrastructure portfolio. Prior to joining RBH, he worked as the Global Head for Real Estate Finance at Standard Bank Group Corporate and Investment Banking and has held various roles in the infrastructure sector. Dharmesh has over 23 years’ experience in the investment banking and management, energy mining and real estate sector.

Karishma Dayal joined RBH in October 2021 as a Senior Investment Manager in Infrastructure. Karishma has over 12 years of investment banking experience across various finance disciplines including Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance Advisory and Project Finance Advisory and Lending. To date, she has executed a variety of corporate finance transactions within the infrastructure, energy, retail, telecoms, property and Financial Institutions Groups sectors in both developed and emerging markets globally, with a key focus on Africa. Prior to joining RBH, Karishma was an Associate Director in Project & Export Finance at Standard Chartered Bank, where she focused on the financing and advisory of large infrastructure projects in Africa. Karishma has also worked at Fieldstone as a Senior Associate in Infrastructure Advisory, and began her career at Rothschild, where she focused on Mergers and Acquisitions.
