Rambait is a waste management solutions company that is Black female owned and specialises in the provision of used oil, fluorescent tubes and oil filters transportation and recycling; environmental audits and environmental awareness training services, just to name a few.
The company has grown since its establishment in 2012 despite a number of challenges experienced in the last year. The tough economic climate saw the company lose crucial contracts due to mining closures which contributed 70% of the company’s turnover. However, with the support of the RBED Focused Approached Programme, the business was repositioned by diversifying its areas of specialisation, which enabled the company to secure new business.
As a young Mofokeng entrepreneur, Mpho Magano, the owner and founder of the business says she has been able to carve a niche in the manufacturing treatment space and claim pride of the place for her business in the sector. This will not only contribute to the growth of her business but to the development of Morafe through the jobs created and the socio-economic benefits realised.
